On the road between Bicaz and Gheorgheni lies a spectacular area with numerous rock and karst formations. The largest of them, the Bicaz Gorge, is traversed by the road itself, but for the best views, one must hike the various trails that bring you above the canyon. One such trail follows the smaller Bicăjel river. Although somewhat physically demanding, it’s definitely worth your time.
